How it Works:

For the first two weeks of the school year, The School Supply Depot is open Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm. It is open the rest of the school year by appointment. To make an appointment, call SKEF at 503-364-2933 or email

STEP 1: School supplies are needed for a child, student program, classroom, or school.

STEP 2: A written request for the specific supplies—including items and quantities—is given to the school counselor, CSOC, or Office Manager.

STEP 3: The counselor, CSOC, or Office Manager compiles these requests and arranges to visit The School Supply Depot.

STEP 4: The counselor, CSOC, or Office Manager brings the supplies back to their school & distributes them accordingly.

1. What supplies are available?
We have many different school supplies available, and inventory fluctuates with donations. Please have the counselor, CSOC, or Office Manager at your student’s school email us ( to check on inventory and availability of particular items.
2. What is the best format to submit a request?

Email is the best way. That way we have time to check our stock. Please let the counselor, CSOC, or Office Manager at your student’s school know what items you are looking for—including quantity and any deadline you have.

Parents: To find the counselor, CSOC, or Office Manager at your student’s school, go to: and search for their email address.

3. How is it stocked, and when does the Depot get replenished?

Many generous partners and hundreds of people contribute during our annual School Supply Drive in August. The donated items are used to stock the shelves at the depot at the beginning of September, and donations continue to come in year round!
